Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas... as Christians are expectant for the birth of Jesus for this season, I would encourage you to be expectant of abundant blessings in your financial life.

Abundance flows from your thoughts...so if you feel that you don't have enough money, time, and resources - I expect that you are thinking that you are unworthy of such blessings.  My personal Christmas wish is for each and every one of you to feel that you are worthy of financial peace.  I want to sing this song to you...

As the song by Bruno Mars sings,

The truth is you are an amazing person! As you start to change your thoughts to embrace the wonderful and magnificent you, the abundance will flow easily and gracefully.  So in holiday tradition, here are some words of wisdom spoken by some earthly "angels" to encourage you to think more abundantly this holiday season...

"Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into". ~ Wayne Dyer

"Expect your every need to be met. Expect the answer to every problem, expect abundance on every level." ~ Eileen Caddy

"Life in abundance comes only through great love."~ Elbert Hubbard

Sending great love you to for a blessed holiday season and a Happy New Year!

Blessings of Abundance,

Debbie

1. How to avoid overdraft fees

It is very simple to avoid overdraft fees by simply keeping track of your balance in your account.  You can do this is two ways - using a paper check register or a software program like Quicken or Quickbooks.  The real trick is to remember all your automatic debits, ATM withdrawals, and POS transactions.  The solution is spending 5 minutes a day recording these items in what ever system you chose and calculating your new balance.  Another way to cover an accidental overdraft is to link your savings account to your checking account - check with your bank to see if any fees apply.  Abundance is created by knowing your full picture with your finances and managing those resources.

Tip2. Budgeting Tip: Cash is better than credit cards and debit cards

Did you know that you will spend more money on purchases if you were going to charge the purchase versus using cash?  In fact, a Dunn & Bradstreet study found that people spend 12-18% more when using credit cards than when using cash. And McDonald's found that the average transaction rose from $4.50 to $7 when customers used plastic instead of cash.  If you like to use plastic, debit cards are better because it is attached to your checking account but you will again tend to overspend.  This year why not try to Christmas shop with cash or grocery shop with cash.  Where else could you change to using cash to help you spend wisely?  Start today using cash instead of charging to create more abundance.
