Dear Friends -
I've found that parenting can be one of the toughest, but most rewarding jobs. I've recently realized that my children need rules - not reasons. They need to know when they can or cannot do something as opposed to why they should or shouldn't do it; that there are consequences if they break the rules, and that there are rewards, via their sticker charts, if they follow the rules.
So what financial rules have you broken that have landed you in a 'timeout'? Have you continually ignored the rules and suffered stress and scarcity; the inevitable consequences of your behavior? Conversely, what financial habits/rules have you followed that have brought you the rewards of financial abundance, peace and success? When you have good habits/rules; you don't need to invest so much time and energy on them. You simply practice the habits and follow the rules consistently, freeing up your time and energy to concentrate on other areas of your life where, perhaps, you aren't quite as disciplined.
On our journey to abundance, let us consider the wisdom of Benjamin Franklin who said, "Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones." Grow your net worth and assets on your spiritual balance sheet one good habit at a time.
I'd love to hear about your successful financial habits/rules that have worked for you so that I can add them to my tool box to share as a financial coach. Email me your ideas at deb@cpajones.com . Blessings of Abundance,
