Dear Friends -
I have noticed that when the abundant blessings are poured out on us daily, it encourages us to be "good stewards" and, in response, we create systems to deal with each of the blessings. We create budgets for our businesses or personal finances. We have calendars and to do lists to manage our time. If you have been on a diet like I have, Weight Watchers designates daily points for food choices. If you are one of my kids, you get points for doing chores, which you can then spend for computer or TV time. Audrey, my eight year old daughter, doesn't think it's fair that her friends don't have to use a point system but, as her parent; I feel it's important to teach her good stewardship of time and resources at an early age. Ask yourself this - Where in your life are you not properly managing the resources with which you have been blessed? Using your heart, discern what is broken. Once you know what you need to fix - the internet is full of answers if you are ready to heed the call to being a "Good Steward". Also feel free to email me if you need some type of assistance in managing your resources - I would be glad to help.

#1 - What is your own personal economy?
In the book, The Architecture Of All Abundance by Lenedra L Carroll, she states, "In my own personal economy, I bank on joy, fulfillment, my values, on love, freedom, people, community, creativity, nature, spiritual consciousness, on my own soul." After reading this, I immediately decided that it was important to define "What is my own personal economy?" I would encourage you to do the same. There is no right answer to this question. It's merely a potential personal compass or balance scale for you. Also, you can complete the following statement: "In my own personal economy, I bank on _________." Another quote to help you in this quest is one from Margaret Young. "Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way that it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you love to do, in order to have what you want." Blessings of abundance in your search for what is your own personal economy! #2 - Save $$$ for an emergency. I would encourage everyone to save money in an emergency fund. If you are already doing this - I challenge you to increase it by 1%. If you aren't saving at all - start now. Save $10 per week or 1% of your deposits to build some simple success. What if you don't have enough cash to pay all your bills? Should you still save? YES - even more so. You may need that cash stash for an emergency. Your goal should be to have about 3-6 months of your monthly expense budget in an accessible cash fund. If this seems out of reach - just start with something.
...to create abundance in your life. |
