Dear Friends -

As I start my busiest time of the year, I welcome snow days!  It is a blessing to spend time with my three kids while the snow falls outside, although sometimes the weather man gets it wrong and it just rains. We have fun just the same, running around outside in the rain. It is a great way for Audrey, David and Thomas to run off the energy that builds ups when cooped up in the house.

So I would encourage you to count your blessings.  Here are few of mine- snow days, extra family time, lots of work, good friends, and special prayer time (ask me about my church's Monday Evening Prayer Group).

My cup runneth over!
Blessings of Abundance,
 Debbie

Financial Solutions...

#1 - What is my emotional relationship with money?

To help you answer this question, I present a discernment tool.  Answer True or False to each statement below...

I love money.  I hate money.  I live for money.  I would do anything for money.  Money causes trouble.  Money is a blessing.  Money is the root of all evil.  The love of money is the root of all evil.  Money will make me happy.  Money will solve all my problems.  Money will improve all areas of my life.  Money is a tool which can do great things or evil things.

Taking a personal assessment of your beliefs about money may help you discover what is stopping you from creating abundance in your life.  Are you worshiping the creation of money over spending time with your spouse or family? Are you hoarding your money and not sharing your abundance?  Are you sharing too much and not tending to your financial needs first?

When you have an unhealthy relationship with money your family relationships can suffer; you tend to spend money that you don't have because you think you deserve it; you are angry at everyone; and you can't figure out why the more money you make doesn't make you happy.

A healthy relationship with money is obtained by working through your personal emotions around money.  It is finding your balance to be at peace.  There are those with very little money who feel wealthy and those with an over-abundance of money who feel poor.

Balance your relationship with money. Become whole. Become empowered. Release the power of abundance in your life.

#2 - Household Budgeting Tip:   Make your expenses match your income.    I would encourage everyone to eliminate the fluctuation of monthly utilities costs by setting up monthly budgeting plans with them.  Oil, electric, gas, and insurance will tell you what your budget payment would be if your total costs for the year was divided by twelve months.   No more trying to find the money for a whole tank of oil.  You will pay $100 per month, year round for your oil which matches your income flow.  Also - quarterly bills sometimes hurt your budget, so I would encourage that you send monthly payments to them in advance to relieve yourself of that burden.  A little bit of planning in this area will help create some financial peace.
