Big things they are a comin'...

The Retail Partners Program
Over the past year we have been tossing around ideas about what Wine Diva (and WineScores.ca) needs to make it bigger, better, more efficient and ultimately more relevant and useful. The thing that no other wine website has achieved- is to direct consumers where exactly to buy a bottle I have reviewed.

That is the goal after all, for wine drinkers to be able to find a wine after they have been turned onto it by a recommendation or a review.
By allowing private wine stores and licensees across Canada to have access to WineDiva.ca (WD) and WineScores.ca (WS) to post their store location (Google mapped) and ad to each and every wine I review that the store(s) carry, simplifies the wine drinkers search and allows retailers to sell more wine. And it will only pertain to your geographical region, province, city...
And that's just the tip of the iceburg!

WineDiva.ca and WineScores.ca cool tools!
You'll notice that on each wine review is a new "Tool Bar" - click on the tool bar and you have five cool tools to chose from...

If it's March 23 it must be the launch of the 2009 Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival - see below for a run down of the week in wine!

Cheers,
Daenna

The Retail Partners Program (RPP) - spread the word it's like nothing you have ever seen!

RPP where to buy bottle 300h What is the "Retail Partners Program"?
Having put a substantial amount of background work into both the WineDiva.ca (WD) and WineScores.ca (WS) websites we knew that ease of use for both retailers and consumers was imperative. The importance of getting the word out on where to buy the wines that consumers desire is of utmost importance - and to do so quickly and easily.

To do so we need to partner with private wine stores (licensees) and agents (importers) to get the wines that are reviewed on WD and WS to the readers - and to wine enthusiasts. The RPP allows the retailer, to not only feature the store(s) name on each individual wine I review (on both sites) but will allow a store(s) to promote all the wines they sell that I have reviewed - easily.

By partnering up with WD and WS retailers will have access to both of my websites to ensure wine enthusiasts know what store(s) carry the wines I've reviewed.
Each review will not only show WD & WS readers that you sell a wine in your store but where you are located, your contact information and a Google map...
all based on their chosen geographical location.

That is a very powerful tool!

So spread the word to your local retailer and if you are interested in more information email us at:

 Get Uncorked! At Earls
Monday night 5-7 pm launches the VPIWF

nkMip chard Nk'Mip Cellars Chardonnay, Okanagan BC, 2007
Good value!
Sinfully appealing aromas - smells like biting into a caramel apple. But you can't dismiss the juicy pineapple, creamy pear, honey and vanilla spiked with sweet spices....The palate is loaded with toasted spices, pineapple and grilled lemon halves - minerality and more spices provide the missing link. Very drinkable, fresh with a soft round palate and bright acidity.
$15.99 BC

 Diva(s) at the Met
Wine Diva and 7 fabulous women in wine chat, eat, drink and schmooze

JoieFarm Rose JoieFarm Rose, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Welcome Spring! I tasted the newly renamed JoieFarm Rose on the first full day of spring - what better way to celebrate the sunshine than with a toast to the approaching warmer months. The aroma of watermelon juice aptly matches the brilliant hue but strawberries, pink grapefruit and mineral notes also waft upward out of the glass...
I think I actually like it better than last years model - it's mouth-watering but suitably off-dry with flavours of blood orange, citrus zest, a suggestion of banana with cedar, tobacco and fine spices.
$19 BC

Mixed fruit teases your nose as you swirl it in the glass. A compilation of crushed berries and strawberry aromas. Behind the fruit is a bouquet of violets, minerals, earth and chocolate. On the palate, expect juicy fruit with flavours of cocoa and coffee grounds with spice. Its a focused wine with great acidity and fine lingering tannin.

Crisp, peachy and fresh with citric and stone fruit aromas, slate and lemondrops....It has a a lovely rounded texture, stone fruit flavours return on the palate with beeswax and snappy citrus. Dry, but not bracing - just enough sweetness to pair with sushi.
