July is the month for drinking pink.
Although I recommend pink as a year-round option, it just seems more perfect in the summer.
So I have compiled a selection from around the world including some pink bubbles that I think will help curb your craving for pink.
Me, I seem to have an incurable thirst for the colour...

Next newsletter: Riesling - a new generation and the adventures of Rhine Diva.

Skillogalee Rose, Clare Valley Australia, 2006

Skillogalee rose Skillogalee's version of pink is made from Cabernet and Malbec.
Brilliantly-hued with sweet berries, candied citrus peel and tobacco aromas this "masculine" blend is actually sweetly feminine in character. Sweet-tart berry fruit and warm spice flavours encompass your palate on the entry but then it cleans up with a nicely with a splash of acidity and white pepper on the finish.
Would pair nicely with your berry-laden brunch waffles or Indian fritters with spicy mango salsa.

Oyster Bay Merlot Rose, Hawke's Bay New Zealand, 2006

Oyster Bay Merlot rose A beautiful hue, the colour of cherry juice, with fresh red berry and sour cherry aromas and a hint of crushed flowers. Dry on the palate with crab apple, tart berries and some cedary, spiced nuances. Bright acidity with a zesty, contemplative finish this rose has some power to it - allowing it to be paired with anything from cheese and appetizers to fish and lighter meat dishes.
