Don David Syrah Great value Syrah!
Sweet, up-front blackberry aromas with cedar, spices, rich chocolate, coffee bean and vanilla notes with a hint of caramel.  Pascual Toso Sauvignon Blanc, Argentina, 2007

Toso SB A great, refreshing value!
Bright aromas featuring lemongrass, herbs, passion fruit, minerals and hints of fennel. Clean on the palate with juicy mandarin and lemon flavours, hints of tropical floral and more mineral. Crisp but not overwhelming acidity makes this as good a sipper as it is a food wine.

Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier, Barossa Australia, 2006

Yalumba Eden Viognier Many wine drinkers first knew Viognier because this well-recognized family owned Yalumba winery. In fact, for some, it's the benchmark "new world" Viognier. The Eden Valley is lush and aromatic with classic "Yalumba" peach and apricot, lime oil and exotic floral aromas with undertones of minerality. Weighty on the palate with flavours reminiscent of the aromas and a bright zesty finish suggesting spice.
Addictive!

Twisted Tree Viognier Roussanne, Okanagan BC, 2007

Twisted Tree Viog/Rous Impressive!
Elegant and truly well constructed this blend of 48% Viognier, 44% Roussanne and 8% Marsanne raises the bar for BC wines yet again. Fragrant white blossoms, lime leaf, spiced peaches and a hint of pine resin. Silky and lush yet crisp on the palate - the flavours echo the aromas showing layered fruit, floral and spice hints and a suggestion of pine on the finish.

 Gazela Vinho Verde, Portugal
 Buy the case!

Gazela VV Light straw in colour with happy little vivace bubbles. These barely discernable bubbles simply add to the crisp, friendliness of this wine. And at 9% alcohol it's a perfect lunch wine or patio sipper.
Fresh - with aromas of lemongrass, hints of white floral, white peach and lime zest. On the palate its lively and light with mouth-watering acidity.
Such a great price and so easy drinking you'll want to buy a case!

 Sauvignon Republic
 making me a believer...

Sauvignon Republic trio

"Wow, what great labels."
That was first comment I made to John Ash - award winning Chef and partner in Sauvignon Republic Cellars during his recent stop in Vancouver. The second was, "So why of all varietals - Sauvignon Blanc?". Of course the reason I asked was simply because it wouldn't be my first choice. But that's the beauty of wine - there's something for everyone and everyone has their favourite...
