NEW BC!
Inniskillin Marsanne Rousanne,Okanagan BC, 2006
Do you want the good news or the bad news first?
Okay, the good news is this, when you review wine all
the time you look for the "wow" wines.
Somthing new, interesting and delish, like this one.
Marsanne & Rousanne are classic to the Rhone and
South of France where they produce powerful, baked
fruit, floral and minerally wines that age extremely well.
But the Inniskillin version impresses me with its
freshness and delicateness.
The bad news is the very, very limited 78 cases
available at the winery only--sigh.
Alas, sweet spiced pear and honeysuckle aromas
with a backbone of smoke and minerality. Crisp on the
entry with fresh quince, lush citrus and cinnamon
spice, softly rounded on the mid-palate and lingering
on the finish with smoke, vanilla and zest.
Bravo!
