AllergyAllergy Elimination with Acupuncture

and Applied Kinesiology

Now available at Cascade Acupuncture Center

Many food and environmental allergies can be relieved, permanently.

In the 1980's Dr. Devi Nambudripad, M.D., D.C., LAc., Ph.D. (Acu.) discovered Acupuncture allergy elimination techniques (NAET) while working with her own food allergies.  Since then she, and other practitioners, have experimented and expanded upon this rapidly growing technique.

Recently Carola Stepper, LAc, RN retired received Allergy Elimination, Applied Kinesiology and modified TAT training from Robin Cupp, LAc.  Cupp, who studied NAET with Dr. Devi Nambudripad, has practiced Allergy Elimination techniques on thousands of clients. He also studied TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) with Tapas Fleming, LAc, who developed the TAT technique. Cupp found that by using both NAET and TAT together clients' allergy clearing results reached over 95%!

What is involved in an Allergy Elimination Session?

A session of Allergy Elimination or "Allergy Deprogramming" involves using Applied Kinesiology (AK) techniques, starting with muscle testing with different vials containing potential allergens. Once a vial which tested as an allergen is found, the client remains in skin contact with the glass vial for the rest of the session. Percussive massage is applied to the back of the client, while breathing in a specific pattern, followed by an Acupuncture treatment. Additionally, modified Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) can be used to improve the results. This involves holding Acupressure points on the face and head, while speaking positive affirmations. The idea behind this is to harmonize the nervous and meridian system with the allergen, so the body no longer needs to react to it.

What kind of allergies can be addressed?

* Reaction and symptoms to foods (such as gluten, dairy, wheat, vitamins, sugar and more)
* Reaction and symptoms to environmental factors (pollen, dust, pet hair, poison oak and more)
* Reaction and symptoms to parts of our own bodies (virus, bacteria, fungus, body parts in auto immune diseases and more)

Allergy elimination addresses one allergen or class of allergens each treatment.  For example, an allergy to gluten products may be addressed in one treatment, but not an allergy to gluten and to dairy.

Allergy Elimination sessions are now available in both locations, Hood River and The Dalles.

Cascade Acupuncture Center has over 600 vials available, covering: Basic food allergy testing, environmentals, heavy metals, minerals, fibers, viruses, pathogenic bacteria, autoimmune kit, pathogenic viruses, fungus, mold, yeast, Lyme kit, and Pacific NW pollen. Additionally clients can bring their own samples they want us to test and clear, such as medications, pet hair, fabrics, spices and more!

Each Allergy Elimination session is valued at $45, which is in addition to the cost of the Acupuncture treatment. The $45 fee for the Allergy Elimination session is not billable to insurance.

Three pre-pay packages are available:

INTRO package, one time only: Pay 4, get 5, save $45,

price per treatment: $36, total cost: $180

Pay 6, get 7, save $45, price per treatment: $38.57,

Pay 10, get 12, save $90, price per treatment: $37.50,

total cost: $450.

SpecialSPECIAL OFFER - Between now and the end of November we invite you to try your first Allergy Elimination session for only $15.

Each session involves the Allergy Elimination techniques at the beginning of the session, followed by an Acupuncture treatment for a total of a 60-75 min session and a 24 hour allergen avoidance period.

INTRODUCTING OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS!

Jeannette Schreiber, LAc, NTP

Jeannette Oct 2012

For most of my life I have been in the San Francisco Bay Area, though I did spend a couple years in Maryland. After discovering the benefits of acupuncture, I made my way back to California and began studying Oriental medicine.

Since completing my Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, I practiced in California and then Washington, where I completed two additional years of intensive training in both acupuncture and herbs. I also continued my professional development in nutrition (NTP = Nutritional Therapy Practitioner), which has been a passion of mine for over 20 years.
I am happy to join the team at the Cascade Acupuncture Center and share our commitment to health and well-being. I look forward to practicing in the Columbia Gorge area and getting to know this beautiful region.

Roberta Grant, LMT

Roberta Oct 2012

I am originally from Atlanta, GA and finally became domesticated after a long pursuit of the river life from the Southeast to Alaska and back to the lower 48 where I settled in the Columbia Gorge with my husband and now we have a child.

I have been a massage therapist since 2003 and received my Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2011. As a body worker I have worked for myself as well as in several settings such as a spa and physical therapy clinic. I understand the need for empathy in the form of touch and the human need for touch as a healing force. I have now chosen to be a part of the team at Cascade Acupuncture Center and share their enthusiasm to join their vision and dedication to the health of the Gorge community.
