KWBRB Grant

Keep West Baton Rouge Beautiful recently received a $10,000 grant from Anheuser-Busch.  KWBRB was one of only 6 KAB affiliates nationwide to receive this grant.  Mockler Beverage of Baton Rouge, an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler, is partnering with KWBRB to purchase recycle containers for the parish parks and implement a new program called 'Recycle to Go', allowing residents to use free portable recycling receptacles for fairs and festival events.

Calcasieu Parish Billboard Targets Litter Problem

Lake Charles Billboard
Calcasieu Parish's 'No Excuse' billboard targets
motorists on Ryan Street in Lake Charles.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury constructed this 'No Excuse' billboard with 100 items of litter collected by parish inmate crews. Installed in time for Mardi Gras, its purpose is to create an awareness of the parish's litter challenges and to encourage motorists to use the local litter hotline.

The billboard debuted about the same time that Calcasieu Parish became the latest pre-certified Louisiana affiliate of KAB and joined our Keep Louisiana Beautiful family.  Welcome!
