The feeling of summer is in the air, school is out in Sayulita; it's the perfect time of year to spend time with friends and family and keep cool in July heat. El Sayulero brings you some fun things to do in town this summer as well as a list of Sayulita restaurant summer hours. Two weeks ago, the highly anticipated Pemex gas station located on Highway 200 at the entrance to Sayulita opened to the public. The Pemex station which has been in the works for over a year was much needed and locals are enjoying the convenience of the gas station just outside of town. Employees at the Pemex station confirm that within 3 to 4 weeks the oxxo at the service center will also open to the public.

On Sunday, July 1st, Mexican nationals took to the polls to vote for the next president of Mexico. It was announced Sunday evening that presidential candidate, Enrique Pena Nieto won the campaign and was announced as Mexico's new president of Mexico during the next 6 year term.

Casa Conchita in Sayulita is a lovely three-bedroom / two-bathroom villa with a detached one-bedroom / one-bathroom guesthouse. The house rests just one block from the beach, just north of the "left" surf break. This is a very quiet neighborhood with other elegant villas and vacation rental properties. Being so close to town, the beach, and still in a very quiet area is difficult to find in Sayulita.

High season is full of great new friends and connections, but summer is a time of reconnecting to all your local friends. We are all too busy working and socializing to hang out for long, lazy hours on the beach, but now is the time of rest and play.  More

The tuna sushi at Don Pedro's is as tasty as its rich, vibrant colors. And it is a bit more creative than most sushi presentations. On top of authentic sushi rice with tuna inside, the top is heaped with additional tuna, flecked with sesame seeds. It is served a la japanoise, with chopsticks, soy sauce and a very hot rendition of wasabi. Using chopsticks makes the sushi taste better, but I am not sure why.  More

We are constantly receiving appreciation from tourists for the privilege of walking through town and not being broken hearted or disgusted by abused and/or sickly animals.  More

Emylio was found in the Costco parking lot and is a true gem! He is great with other animals, including cats. He is very quiet and never whines or cries. He is young, about a year, extremely intelligent and obedient. He has learned commands in English and Spanish and is now learning hand signals. He is very affectionate, loving, and loyal. All he wants is companionship. He thrives with regular exercise and lots of training. He constantly wants to learn. This is one very special boy who deserves a very special family.
