This past weekend there was much to see and do on Sayulita's main beach with the first annual Stand Up Paddle contest hosted by Sayulita Surf Club, a fun event with participants from all over Mexico visiting our town and taking part in the competition. Congratulations to our local surf talents who participated and placed in the top three in the men's SUP surf division. For more on the contest and events, read article below.

Last Thursday, June 7th, Sayulita's entrance-way arch which has been under construction for the last 5 months was officially completed and opened to traffic. The new arch gives a whole new look to the town as you enter and visitors are welcomed.  See what others think about the new construction at the top of town in this week's "Question of the Week". Aside from the completion of the arch, Sayulita's downtown area is still undergoing some improvements as new plants and small palms were planted yesterday in the downtown plaza along with wood benches in various pedestrian zones. Sayulita's make-over initiated by the government is beginning to look great after a season of construction throughout the town.

If you are traveling by airline to or from Sayulita with a beloved pet, you may want to read the new "No Pets In Cabin" policy that the Mexican government is enforcing recently. Check out the JaltembaBayLife.com blog about this new policy and a list of airlines now restricing pets in cabin. 

El Sayulero's "Kids Corner" column is back with 13 year old writer, Astrid Vanya who after taking some time off from writing for El Sayulero while traveling in Asia is back in Sayulita with her family and will be contributing fun and interesting ideas, recipes and more for kids and youth. Sayulita's downtown area is once again under construction as workers lift the current cobble-stone streets at three main intersections, calle palmar with calle marlin, calle delfin and calle gaviotas. These main intersections will soon boast more ample pedestrian sidewalks and stamped concrete much like the terracotta sidewalks around town.  More

This little guy is so sweet, playful, and well-behaved! You would be so lucky to have him as part of your family. Unfortunately his current foster family doesn't have the ability to keep him anymore. Life gets too full, and puppies need attention. He is nearly 6 months old now and is ready to play with and be loved by you! He is great with kids too.
