Greetings to our 7,825 subscribers,  June is here and Sayulita experienced its first rainfall last Thursday night. The clouds and decent amount of rain were the result of Hurricane Bud off the coast of Manzanillo. There was zero major impact upon the village and despite local rumors, nor was there ever any indication that hurricane forces would actually reach this far up the coast.Next weekend (June 8-10) brings the first National SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) contest to Sayulita. Organized by the Sayulita Surf Club, this event hopes to bring contestants from all over Mexico to compete in a variety of wave and distance events. Additionally, SayulitaLife.com has added a new SUP section to the website in order to help advertise to the rest of the world why this sport is one more reason why Sayulita is such a great vacation destination.  Our plaza makeover continues to progress with new red and white paint applied to all the walls, gazebo, arch and benches. Fingers are crossed that vegetation will go in as soon as the rains begin to fall with regularity. The arch at the Mex 200 turnoff is almost complete now that the word "SAYULITA" is spelled out in capital letters across the front.Slowly but surely our village is bettering itself in many different and exciting ways as we are already looking forward to a very healthy 2012-2013 tourist season. Sayulita vio sus primeras lluvias la noche del pasado jueves. Las nubes y la cantidad decente de la lluvia fue el resultado del hurac�n Bud frente a las costas de Manzanillo. No hubo ning�n impacto importante sobre el pueblo, ya pesar de los rumores locales, ni hubo nunca ninguna indicaci�n de que las fuerzas de hurac�n en realidad llegar a este hasta la costa.
El proximo fin de semana (08 al 10 junio) trae el primer Nacional SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) concurso a Sayulita. Organizado por el Club de Surf de Sayulita, este evento espera atraer participantes de todo Mexico para competir en una variedad de eventos de onda y la distancia. Adem�s, SayulitaLife.com ha a�adido una nueva seccion de SUP a la p�gina web con el fin de ayudar a anunciar al resto del mundo por que este deporte es una raz�n m�s por Sayulita es un gran destino de vacaciones.
La plaza esta cambiando de imagen y sigue avanzando con el nuevo rojo y pintura blanca aplicada a todas las paredes, el mirador, el arco y bancos. Los dedos est�n cruzados para que la vegetacion ira en cuanto las lluvias comienzan a caer con regularidad. El arco en la Mex 200 desv�o est� casi terminado, ahora que la palabra "Sayulita" se escribe en may�sculas en la parte delantera.
Lentamente nuestro pueblo se esta mejorando en muchas formas diferentes y ya estamos mirando adelante a una temporada tur�stica muy saludable en 2012-2013

After the recent closure of Dr. Moy's office and next door pharmacy, Sayulita residents and visitors had to find other resources for medical attention, emergency calls and pharmaceutical needs. On Monday May 28th, medical practitioner and surgeon, Dr. Juan Francisco Hidalgo Corona re-opened the clinic and took over Dr. Moy's practice known as "Sayulita Doctor" on Calle Revolucion, across from El Espresso. Dr. Francisco has also planned to re-open the pharmacy next door by July 1st. More
