Greetings to our 7,753 subscribers,

Students are back to school in Sayulita this week after the Semana Santa and Easter holidays and the town has returned to normal with quieter nights and less crowded beaches this week. The weather has been just perfect and you may notice the blooming, vibrant yellow-leafed trees in the area called the "primavera trees", a sure sign that spring is here and summer is just around the corner.

Sayulita SidewalksSayulita's downtown area is looking fantastic as construction winds down and the streets and sidewalks have been remodelled to provide more pedestrian zones and ample walkways. This week workers on Calle Revolucion and Calle Jose Mariscal on the south side of the plaza have been improving and widening the sidewalks. Yesterday and today fresh cement has been laid along the streets.

This week's El Sayulero brings you many interesting articles and local activities happening in town such as news of renovations at the water treatment plant, a circus going on in town and some local history painted on murals at Calypso. Enjoy the articles below and thank you to all our El Sayulero readers and contributors.

=========================================

Saludos a nuestros 7,753 suscriptores,

"Have You Ever Lived in Sayulita in the Summer?
Do You Like It? Why?"

By Kimber Lopez

Nacho

"Yes I like the summertime because there are good waves, not many people, it rains a lot, and it's a lot greener. Also, the heat is a humid heat."

By Eric Rudd

Everyone knows that the older you get, the faster time goes.  The high season just flew by, didn't it?  Our volunteers were so busy with programs and our big Fiesta-Fundraiser, that all of a sudden, we are saying goodbyes to the folks who have to head north.  Luckily for Sayulita, there are a number of GPS volunteers who stay here most of the year.  More

Mas

Photo of the Week:  Smoothies in Sayulita
By Donna Day

Smoothies

Smoothies are a favorite here in Sayulita. There's a ton of places that make them, and I plan to photograph them all at some point. But one of my favorite places is the Breakfast Cafe. Rene and Octavia have turned this into a pretty cool place to get smoothies, all sorts of great food and a beautiful spot just to hang out, have coffee (or a delicious cocktail), enjoy the fabulous view.
