The hustle and bustle of Semana Santa in Sayulita is over for another year and as the town calms down and things go back to normal on the beach, many community members have been helping clean up garbage and debris from the influx of youth and campers last weekend. Sayulita's streets and sidewalks also got a major clean-up this week with power wash machinery and water trucks working throughout the day and night to clean up the cobblestone and brand-new cement walkways around the center of town. The power washing will continue over the next week as the workers proceed to wash calle Jose Mariscal, calle Delf�n, calle Marlin and calle Gaviotas. Remember that today between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Rollie's restaurant, Sayulitanimals is hosting their fashion fundraiser for the animals, Fash N'Dash. You will have choice selections of women's and men's clothing to purchase in support of all the homeless dogs and cats in Sayulita.

The Sayulita community will say goodbye to Dr. Moy Cuevas and Dr. Paulina Martinez in the near future. Though a specific date of their departure from Sayulita has yet to be determined, Dr. Moy, Sayulita's go-to doctor, will be closing his clinic and pharmacy, The end of "Farmacia La Nueva" and the last day of services to the public will be Saturday April 14th.  More

Jennifer Culp, Leah Jewell, Sam Pottinger, Audrey Royem and Bern Schnyder take us through the twists and turns of this farce, based on Jack Sharkey's "The Murder Room." The adaptation, done by Donna Evans-Deyermond with some help from the cast, has a distinctively local flavor. Evans-Deyermond and Peter Glass are co-directors.  Tickets include dinner, a drink, and the performance. All proceeds go to benefit children at the Primaria. Yes, I can't believe I ate the whole thing...but I did and I loved it! This hefty platter of food is not about quantity but about quality and presentation. Don Juan is on the Punta Mita highway on the right as you go out of town. It isn't very well marked. Lack of signage is the only factor this excellent restaurant lacks. Once inside, you will be charmed by how totally attractive the setting is - fresh, neat, cozy, tranquil and romantic. More
