Casi estamos a Semana Santa y de seguro el pueblo va a estar lleno de energía y vacacionistas aprovechando la playa y el mar en la semana antes de pascua. Si estas apenas planeando tus vacaciones a Sayulita, reserva tu alojamiento pronto ya que la disponibilidad se desaparece rápido. Si te quedas en Sayulita para disfrutar del pueblo con las multitudes a personas o decides tomar la oportunidad para salir del pueblo, espero que te la pases muy bien en estos días festivos. Sayulita Looses a Long-time Resident and Community Member: "Eagle George"

"Eagle George" passed away this last week in a hospital in B.C Canada. He had a place here in Sayulita for over 30 years and spent most of his time outdoors. When he wasn't gardening, he sat in a chair with his gates open and a few extra chairs and would invite passers-by in and show them around and if you were lucky, he would also show you why he was called Eagle George -a huge tattoo on his chest. We'll miss him. Our condolences go out to his family and friends in both Sayulita and his hometown in British Columbia, Canada.
"Eagle George" falleció esta semana pasada en hospital en BC Canada. Tenía una casa aquí durante los últimos 30 anos y paso la mayoría de su tiempo afuera. Cuando no hacia la jardinería, se sentaba en una silla con las puertas de su cancel abiertas con otras silla desocupadas y invitaría a la gente que pasaba ver su casa, y su tuviste suerte, te demostraría porque se llamaba "Eagle George" - por el tatuaje gigante en su pecho de una águila. Increase in Attempted ATM Fraud
in Bahia de Banderas

There has been an increase in attempted ATM/Pos fraud in the Bay of Banderas area. Reportedly, two Romanians who came into Mexico via Canada and USA were arrested two weeks ago after a sting was set up to catch the perpetrators. The two are being held in Tepic and it could be up to a year before their case is heard. More

I heard it during one of those simple events - spontaneous, unexpected - a product of the impressive natural surroundings. It was said by my brother, my fishing companion. I still remember that I was stunned, since in that moment no other comment could have been so overwhelmingly obvious. Pet of the Week: "Campanita"
|
Campanita is a very loving puppy who was brought in by a young woman who rescued her from a family who no longer wanted her. She had been abandoned, was starving, and suffered a fracture in her back leg. She is about four months old. With the help of the community she was treated by Animalove, fostered by a Sayulita local, and now we are trying to find her a loving home. She is healthy, very playful, and full of energy. She will be medium to large, sweet natured, and a perfect addition to an active family. She also loves children!

La abandonaron, estaba muriéndose de hambre y sufrió una fractura en su pata trasera. Tiene casi 4 meses. Con la ayuda de la comunidad recibió tratamiento de Animalove, estaba en una casa de acogido y ahora la estamos buscando una casa por un plazo largo. Es saludable, muy juguetona, y llena de energía. Crecerá para ser tamaño mediano o grande y seria la adición perfecta para una familia activa. Le encantan los niños.
