Greetings to our 7,660 subscribers,  The annual Grupo Pro Sayulita fundraiser fiesta on Wednesday night was a success with so many members of the community in attendance the evening was the social event of the year as usual. Delicious food was served; there was great entertainment along with music and dancing to culminate the evening, and all the funds raised from the silent auction, live auction and ticket sales will go towards the many programs that help our town. The GPS committee and group of dedicated volunteers put on an amazing fiesta this year. Please read article below for a full re-cap on the nights fun festivities.
There have been some fun community events this past week, including the big Surf contest held in Sayulita March 10th and 11th, many visitors were in town for competition and concert on the beach where Pato Banton sang reggae and the performance was enjoyed by many visitors and residents Saturday night. Congratulations to all our local surfers and stand up paddle boarders who participated in the event! Sayulitanimals Benefit Concert: Remember to come to Pachamamas this Sunday, March 18th, at 7 pm to join Diamond and River as they take us on a meditative musical journey. Combining sounds from around the world, they will share healing and focus in support of Sayulitanimals. The concert is one hour and entry is by donation.

La fiesta de recaudaci�n de fondos para Grupo Pro Sayulita se llev� a cabo el mi�rcoles en la noche y fue un �xito total con muchos miembros de la comunidad que asistieron, como siempre la noche fue el evento social del a�o. La comida fue deliciosa, hubo buen entretenimiento con musica y el baile que culmino la noche. Todos los fondos de las subastas y la venta de boletos van a los programas que ayudan nuestro pueblo. El comit� de Grupo Pro Sayulita y el grupo de voluntarios dedicados realizaron una fiesta fant�stica. Favor de leer el art�culo abajo para obtener la recapitulaci�n de la fiesta divertida. Ha habido varios eventos en el pueblo esta semana incluyendo el concurso de surf y stand up paddle que se llev� a cabo el 10 y 11 de marzo. Llego muchos visitantes al pueblo para asistir el evento y el concierto en la playa el s�bado por la noche donde toco el musico Pato Banton. Todos disfrutaron el show. Felicidades a todos los surfistas locales que participaron en el concurso. El concierto de beneficio para Sayulitanimals: Recuerda llegar a Pachamama's este domingo, 18 de marzo, a las 7 pm para ver a Diamond y River, ya que nos llevaran en un viaje musical meditativa. Sayulita Preserve: A new residential

More than one friend came up to me last night and exclaimed, "BEST PARTY EVER!"
I'll be honest; I'm tired; we just had our big Fiesta-Fundraiser; if you came, you know it was fun, it was successful and it was a lot of work for all our volunteers! What I really want to do is publicly thank all those who worked so hard for this event, and to thank all those who donated something to the auction. I also want to thank Damien Porter and Nick Parillo and all the folks at Don Pedro's for doing much of the hard work for us and underwriting our event. More M�s de un amigo me acerco anoche y exclam�, "MEJOR FIESTA QUE NUNCA"! �Ser� honesto; estoy cansado; acabamos de tener nuestra recaudacion de fondos mas grande; si usted asistio, sabe que fue divertido, exitoso y fue mucho trabajo para todos nuestros voluntarios! The Seagull in Sayulita

It was a winter afternoon in Sayulita, my wife and I were sitting quietly on the terrace of our house watching the sunset. Suddenly, our tranquility was disturbed when we saw Bianco, our dog, coming closer to us with a seagull in its jaws. Tere was alarmed by imagining he had hurt it, so I shouted from afar Bianco! Immediately, the dog put the battered gull down on the floor. We came quickly to where we found it inert, all slimy and slobbered on, but apparently not hurt. My wife, in a very caring way, immediately prepared a shoe box for the seagull to spend the night, hoping for it to recover because we had no idea what to do with it. She is about 3 years old, in good health, and has a loving, playful personality. She can be a bit timid at first but warms up quickly!
