Greetings to our 7,630 subscribers, Sayulita is a busy scene in the downtown area as the large street and plaza construction project continues in full swing. Work in progress this week includes Calle Delfin, as ample sidewalks are constructed, large palms are planted and the terracotta finishing is laid along pedestrian zones all over town. Traffic can be challenging; walking or taking a golf cart into the downtown area is recommended while the improvements to the streets take place. In the meantime, March brings many events, fundraisers and activities all over town. This weekend is the third annual Punta Sayulita Stand Up Paddle and Long Board Competition with participants from all over attending and local talents representing Sayulita. Be sure to check out the contest and cheer for your favorite Stand Up Paddle or surf athlete.
Wednesday, March 14th brings the annual Grupo Pro Sayulita Fiesta-Fundraiser at the Brisa Mar Palapa. The party kicks off at 5:00 p.m.; there will be delicious food, entertainment and silent and live auctions. For more information, please read below. It will be a fun evening for everyone and all Sayulita home and business owners are encouraged to come celebrate and help raise funds for the numerous, vital programs Grupo Pro Sayulita supports. Sayulita esta muy recorrido en el centro mientras la construcci�n sigue en las calles y en la plaza. Diamond and River have led lives dedicated to music and the transformational power of sound. Beginning with guitar and vocals, they began to collect a unique array of instruments, all of which resonate their intentions. The Waka appears to be oddly shaped ceramic art, but when in the skillful hands of a musician the sound is beautifully haunting. The Didgeridoo is a more common instrument among indigenous cultures and is difficult to describe, but if the jungle could be expressed in sound, this would be it, wild yet distinct.
