Greetings to our 7,471 subscribers,  Sayulita finds itself in a major construction project this week. The governer of Nayarit, Roberto Sandoval, announced last Friday, that Sayulita had been chosen among other locales in the state to undergo a project in which the entitre downtown area would receive a "makeover," including our plaza and downtown streets. The project leaped into full swing on Monday, January 16th as machinery came in and began work. Traffic police have been on duty in Sayulita this week directing traffic as necessary. Most locals and residents are looking forward to the final results while dealing with the setbacks of having the town be a temporary construction zone. The governor has promised construction would be completed by March and El Sayulero will have updates as the construction progresses. In the meantime, the Sayulita beach is the place to be, with inviting waters and even some great waves this week for surf enthusiasts. Thank you for reading El Sayulero. Sayulita se encuentra en medio de un proyecto de construcci�n esta semana. El gobernador de Nayarit, Roberto Sandoval, anuncio el viernes pasado que Sayulita ha sido elegido como uno de las varias comunidades que recibir� un cambio de imagen, incluyendo la plaza y toda el �rea del centro. El proyecto comenz� el lunes, 16 de enero cuando entro al pueblo la maquinaria. El transito ha estado presente en el centro del pueblo dirigiendo trafico mientras trabaja la maquinaria en las calles. Para toda la informaci�n y planes del proyecto, lea el art�culo abajo. Muchos de los locales est�n de acuerdo que el resultado final ser� de beneficio para Sayulita pero actualmente lidian con los obst�culos de tener una zona de construcci�n en el centro del pueblo. El gobernador ha prometido que la construcci�n se terminara para el mes de marzo y El Sayulero le brindara mas informaci�n del progreso del proyecto.
Por mientras la playa de Sayulita es donde todos quieren estar con el agua agredable y buenas olas esta semana para los surfistas.

Last week, the Governor of Nayarit, Roberto Sandoval arrived to Sayulita to talk about improvements that will be made to the town. Although Grupo Pro Sayulita volunteers are up to their eyebrows with ongoing programs, the number one concern last season became security. In response to the urging of many, we undertook an additional program, separate from our others, to increase the police presense in town. After many weeks of investigation and research, we settled upon a specific program and timetable, which was then presented to homeowners for their support. We worked on this plan, but as often happens in Mexico, governmental elections and then bureacractic changes, made us amend our plans. However, some of these changes were for the good. Pet of the Week: "Bola"

 This little dog was found, totally neglected, on a farm. She was living in complete dirt and had many medical issues. Thanks to the treatment of the vets of Animalove the doggy has recovered very well. Bola is her name. She is about 5 years old. She is very mellow, in good spirts and very thankful for just having a safe spot to rest. She is wonderful with little kids, very patient and humble. She loves to be petted but never askes for anything. She gets along well with any other kind of animals and likes to go on little walks but doesn`t need or ask for a walk if there is a yard for her.
