 It's starting to look a lot like a tropical Christmas in Sayulita. The local primary school hosted a festive Christmas celebration with songs and dancing in the plaza on Wednesday December 14th and children of Sayulita participated in the festivities. Residents and visitors will notice a tall Christmas tree this year in the plaza lit up and decorated at the flag pole. The Holiday Season is here, Guadalupe days have culminated and the christmas parties, "posadas", have just began in Sayulita. As the tourist season is in full swing, many businesses are gearing up for the holidays. Remember to try and buy locally as much as you can for your upcoming celebrations and gift giving. Many beach-goers can be found sunbathing and the water is refreshing as we've had some cooler evenings and sunny days. I am sure many of you will be planning to spend your Christmas holidays soaking up the sun! El Sayulero will be taking December 23rd off so our writers and contributors can make the most of the Christmas celebration and spend time with friends and family. Expect the next edition on Friday December 30th. Happy Holidays to all of our readers and contributors. Est� comenzando a parecerse mucho a una navidad tropical en Sayulita. La escuela primaria organiz� una fiesta en celebraci�n de la Navidad con canciones y bailes en la plaza el mi�rcoles 14 de diciembre y los ni�os de Sayulita participaron en las festividades. Los residentes y visitantes ahora pueden ver un �rbol navideno este a�o en la plaza iluminado y decorado. La temporada navide�a est� aqu�, los d�as de Guadalupe han culminado y las posadas acaban de comenzar en Sayulita.
Estamos en medios de la temporada tur�stica y muchas empresas se est�n preparando para los turistas. Recuerde comprar localmente cuando sea posible para su pr�xima celebraci�n y para comprar relagos. Muchos visitantes se encuentran en las playas tomando el sol y el agua del mar es refrescante, ya que hemos tenido algunas noches fr�as y d�as soleados. Estoy segura que muchos de ustedes estar�n pensando en pasar sus dias festivos tomando sol en la playa.
El Sayulero descansa el proximo viernes, 23 de diciembre para que nuestros contribuyentes puedan celebrar los dias festivos con sus amigos y familias. Espera la proxima edicion de El Sayulero el 30 de diciembre. Feliz Navidad a todos los lectores y contribuyentes.

Lifegaurd Training Course in Sayulita

By Lindsay Walter On December 10th and 11th Sayulita locals had the opportunity to participate in the second annual lifeguard training program in Sayulita. The program founded last year and organized by retired firefighter, Brian Singleton, together with the Zach Chambers Foundation, Civil Protection in Bucerias, and Sayulita's school of paramedics taught by Dr. Moy Cuevas hosted two days of intense life guard training. Two additional programs have also been added to the training program which will go until Saturday December 17th, these include firefighters course held in Nuevo Vallarta earlier this week and a paramedics course taking place in Nuevo Vallarta today and tomorrow.  Ama is one very special lady. She was placed in the Sayulitanimals' Foster program when she was just a puppy. Her story is not one of pain but of love. Unfortunately she is simply too big for her first foster, and her current foster has to return home. She is the most loving, loyal pooch a person could want. She's amazing with cats, other dogs, children, and people in general. She has never been and will never be a street dog. She loves long walks on her leash, loves sleeping by her owner's bed, and won't settle for being tied up or kept in a yard. She is a lover and socializer. Ama would be the perfect family pet.
