 The Sayulita elections were this past Sunday for the new town judge. The votes were counted after the polls were closed and the Green Party celebrated victory. Hector Manuel Pi�a Ortega of Ferremateriales Sayulita Hardware store was announced as the winning candidate and is waiting to hear the official date to commence his role as town judge.
Today is another Farmer's Market, if you haven't already checked out all the delicious, organic foods and natural products you may go today between 10:00 and 1:30 PM. Be sure to read the below article on a couple of the vendors who share the story of their delicious empanadas with Sayulita. On Sunday, November 27th, the town plaza was the official place for local Sayulita residents to cast their vote for the new town judge, also known as the delegado, for Sayulita. The town voted between the Red Party and the Green Party, and Hector Manuel Pi�a Ortega, representing the Green Party, was announced as the winner of the polls on Sunday night. The winter season for Grupo Pro Sayulita is about to begin. We'll have our first weekly meeting on Wednesday, December 7, at noon, at Calypso. And we always encourage you to get some lunch if you want (Ruben will deliver your sandwich upstairs) and eat it during our meeting.
