Greetings 7,245 El Sayulero Subscribers,

Pleasant temperatures pervade as we find ourselves in the middle of November and as Sayulita's 2011-12 "high season" is officially in full swing. El Sayulero is also back to weekly editions, in your Inbox every Friday. If you haven't already checked out the Farmer's Market, head to Calle Pelicanos every Friday.  Experience locally grown produce, organic foods and natural, home-made products. Sayulita's Farmer's Market is open every Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and is a great place to do some shopping and socialize with Sayulita locals and visitors.

The main entrance to Sayulita has been undergoing some major improvements over the last couple of weeks, prompted by the Bay of Banderas municipality. Pot holes, broken concrete and drainage problems are all being fixed, along the very north end of Calle Revolucion. Cars and buses have been re-routed along Calle Manuel Plascencia and up to the Punta Mita Highway.  If you are planning a trip to or from Sayulita, keep in mind that the main entrance road is closed to traffic due to the construction project.

Sayulita Recycles:  Remember to recycle all plastic, glass and aluminum. You may take your recycables to the recycling depot, located along the Punta Mita Highway. Keep Sayulita clean by recycling and picking up trash. Now that high season is upon us and more trash is accumulating, please remember to take your garbage out the morning of pick-up days only:  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Chickens, roosters, dogs and other animals are the only ones to benefit if trash is left out on days other than scheduled garbage pick-up.

Thank you again to our El Sayulero contributors and all of our readers!

=========================================

Pet of the Week:  Ling The Siamese Cat

Ling There is something to be said about adopting a mature animal. All the hard work has been done and now enjoying your new family member is all that is necessary. Ling is a 4-5 year old spayed, female, Siamese cat. All of her vaccines are up to date. She prefers to be the only cat in the family but does well with a dog. She is litter trained or will go outdoors and is very well behaved indoors. Her owner had to return to Canada and is not certain when she will return to Sayulita. She thought it best to find a
permanent home for Ling. Ling is a lovely affectionate cat and an excellent mouser!

Farmer's Market

My goal is to photograph as much of Sayulita and it's people as I can, so I thought I'd start this new season with it's newest citizens--new babies and soon to be born babies and parents. This was just one day, but a beautiful turnout of gorgeous babies, mamas and papas.  See more photos
