La primera edici�n de Revista Sayulita sali� a la calle el pasado viernes, 13 de mayo al gran respuesta de los lugare�os, turistas y nuestros anunciantes. El lanzamiento oficial de la, lleno de color brillante revista tuvo lugar en la final de Mercado del Pueblo de la temporada, donde m�s de 500 ejemplares gratuitos fueron distribuidos a los muchos compradores y vendedores del mercado, as� como a la gente que pasa por la Av Palmar.  Mas >

The 2011 Billabong ISA World Surfing Championships will take place in Panama June 25th to July 3rd and representing Mexico will be Sayulita's own Diego Cadena, Patricio Gonzalez Hernandez and Geovani Cervantes. A special fundraiser event will take place this Sunday, May 22nd to support the local surfers heading to Panama at the end of June. Organizers of the fundraiser Cheri and Patrick Hasburgh say this will be a day of fun to come together and show our support for the local surfers trip. More > 

 

El Billabong ISA Campeonato mundial de surf 2011 se llevar� a cabo en Panam�, el 25 de junio al 3 julio y representando a M�xico ser� Diego Cadena, Patricio Gonz�lez Hern�ndez y Geovani Cervantes de Sayulita. Un evento de recaudaci�n de fondos especiales se llevar� a cabo este domingo, 22 de mayo al apoyo de los surfistas locales que se van a Panam� a finales de junio. Los organizadores de la recaudaci�n de fondos, Cheri y Patrick Hasburgh dicen que esto ser� un d�a de diversi�n para reunirse y mostrar nuestro apoyo para los chicos locales que viajaran a Panama.

One morning in late April about 40 years ago, when Pepe was barely a toddler, his mother Consuelo was inside the house preparing something to eat when she heard a commotion from the front patio, like the voices of children laughing and chattering. Having left the little boy to play alone when she had gone inside, she wondered who had come to play with him. When she came out of the house to see what was happening, she saw her son disappearing around the corner of the neighbor's house one arm held high as if taking someone's hand. By the time his mother reached the corner of the house, Pepe was nowhere in sight, nor did she see any of the other children she had heard. Consuelo looked everywhere in the colonia for her son, asked all her neighbors but no one had seen him.  More > 

 

Durante una ma�ana de finales de abril de hace unos 40 a�os, cuando Pepe era apenas un ni�o, su madre Consuelo estaba dentro de la casa preparando algo para comer cuando oy� un alboroto en el patio delantero, al igual que las voces de los ni�os riendo y charlando. Despu�s de haber dejado al ni�o a jugar solo cuando ella se hab�a ido adentro, se pregunt� quien hab�a venido a jugar con �l. Cuando sali� de la casa para ver lo que estaba pasando, vio a su hijo correr por la esquina de la casa del vecino, sostenia el brazo arriba como si estuviera tomando la mano de alguien. En el momento en que su madre lleg� a la esquina de la casa, Pepe no estaba a la vista, ni tampoco se veia ninguno los otros ni�os que hab�a escuchado. Consuelo busco por todas partes en la colonia para encontrar a su hijo, pidi� a todos sus vecinos, pero nadie lo hab�a visto.  Mas >

In the age of the Internet coupled with modern buoy and weather tracking systems, NOAA satellites and the like, it would seem the days are gone when people used to show up with good luck to catch perfect surf. The days when it was all about timing, you just had to be there to catch those perfect days. The charts now are predicting a big swell for this week and they've been predicting this for about 6 days.  More >
