April Bridge Update

 The bridge crew has been working on the road where calles Pel�cano and Revoluci�n converge at the south end of the traffic bridge. A drainage ditch is being built across Revoluci�n between the clothing store on the east side and the art caf� on the raised corner on the southwest side of the street to facilitate proper water drainage, as water always pools on the street at the outside of the pharmacy and fruit stand. Sayulita Yoga Teacher on TV

 A local yoga instructor has been invited to appear on Mexican national TV. Nayarani Cassini will be appearing on the one hour TV show, "Para Empezar," with Chef Mariano Garc�s. The show is an educational program that will focus on the importance of a healthy diet combined with the regular practice of yoga. The show will also teach simple breathing techniques, and stress the importance of using all three elements to maintain a healthy lifestyle. More >

Avoid Ehrlichia in Sayulita

 Ticks are unsightly and disgusting, but seem to be a tolerated nuisance on the dogs of Sayulita. Unfortunately ticks transmit a life threatening disease which is becoming widespread through our town. Ehrlichia is a disease that is carried by the common brown dog tick and is given to our dogs and cats when bitten. Even worse, the same tick can transmit the disease to multiple animals for up to five months! More >

Pet of the Week: "Felix and Ci-Ci"

Felix and Ci-Ci are approximately 8 month old sibling cats. As brother & sister, they are constant companions. If not eating or playing together, they tend to be found curled up asleep or washing each other. In addition to enjoying each other, they are also both highly affectionate creatures who enjoy being petted & close to humans.
Sayulitanimals has spayed/neutered them and they are litter trained, though they ask to go outside. Additionally they have received worm treatment and wear flea collars (which are good until the end of May). Please give them the opportunity to bring fun & happiness to your home.

 F�lix y Ci Cilos gatos viejos hermanos que tienen aproximadamente 8 meses. Como hermano y hermana, constantamente son compa�eros.. Si no est�n comiendo o jugando juntos, se encuentran acurrucado durmiendo o limpiandose uno al otro. Adem�s de que les gusta estar juntos, tambi�n est�n muy cari�osos que disfrutan las caricias y estar cerca de los humanos.
Sayulitanimals los ha esterilizado y ellos est�n educados, aunque les gusta salir a la calle. Adem�s se han recibido tratamiento para los paracitos y llevan collares de pulgas (que son buenos hasta el final de mayo). Por favor, les dan la oportunidad de traer estas criaturas divirtidas y felices a su casa.

I Can See Clearly Now...

There are some things you just can't get done in Sayulita. Getting your eyes checked and camera repaired are a couple. One simply must venture down to the big city--PV. This week, my favorite guys in Puerto Vallarta are Alberto, the optician at Costco and Ernesto Botello , the best camera repairman (and only one as far as I can tell) in all of Puerto Vallarta. Both are excellent at what they do, extremely nice and very good sports about being photographed. Thanks, guys. I see everything much clearer now.
Hay algunas cosas que simplemente no pueden llevarse a cabo en Sayulita. C�mo revisar los ojos y reparar la camera. Uno simplemente tiene que aventurarse a la gran ciudad - PV. Esta semana, mis chicos favoritos en Puerto Vallarta son Alberto, el �ptico en Costco y Ernesto Botello, el mejor t�cnico de c�maras (y el unico segun yo) en todo Puerto Vallarta.
