Greetings 6,551 El Sayulero Readers,
It appears our traditional Spring time Sayulita weather has returned with beautiful sunny days, cool (but not cold) evenings, and all our local and visiting surfers must be delighted with the arrival of great waves this morning. It really is too bad these waves did not show up five days ago for the surf contest but El Sayulero congratulates Punta Sayulita, their staff, and all of the organizers for pulling off such a great event here in Sayulita. Well done!
 Sayulita Writing Contest ($500 USD first prize): Get your pencils sharpened up because the SayulitaLife.com and other local businesses are sponsoring the first ever "Why I Love Sayulita" writing contest. In 500 words or less contestants can tell all of us what makes our village so special. The contest is open to EVERYONE and and we hope to receive some fantastic entries. Details to follow in next Friday's (March 25) El Sayulero.
New Sayulita Classifieds: We have moved our free classified ads to the Sayulita Community Forum. Take a look and please feel free to utilize this free tool offered to the community. You can quickly/easily post pictures as well.
Copa Banana?: I found this to be pretty cool. An "Off Broadway" show, Copa Banana takes place at Bebida Loca, a  small bar in the tiny Mexican coastal village of Sayulita, frequented by American tourists. Bebida Loca is run by a retired American and his "indentured" help, a hapless surfer from the States. All is peaceful for the men until the arrival of two displaced cruise ship entertainers on a mission to get the establishment featured in a Celebrity Reality Show they hope to pitch for Oprah's OWN Network.

Costa Verde International School Bazaar

The bazaar will take place at Costa Verde from 8:00 - 11:30 am on Saturday. The school will be collecting any donations (furniture, clothes, books, movies, household items, electronics...pretty much anything anybody wants to get rid of) at the school on Friday from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM. It's a great time for spring cleaning. Clean out all of those unwanted or unused items that are collecting dust and bring them down to CVIS! More >

Pet of the Week: Memmelita
| 
Memmelita was adopted as a puppy, cute and small. She got lots of love and attention and grew up to become a kind dog with a mellow, shy personality. She had a litter of 7 puppies, which all found homes. Because of personal problems, her owner can't keep Memmelita anymore. She is in danger of being left alone to a life on the street. Please give her a safe home. She is 8 months old, healthy, vaccinated and will get spayed soon.

Memmelita fue adoptada cuando era una cachorra,linda y pequenia. Recibio muco amor y carinos y crecio como una perra amable y tranquila con una personalidad timida. Tuvo 7 cachorros, los que encontraron hogares. Por problemas personales su dueno ya no puede quedarse con Memmelita. Esta en peligro de tener una vida callejera. Favor de encontrarla un buen hogar. Tiene 8 meses, es saludable, vacunada y pronto sera esterilizada.
