Sayulita has received a lot of rain fall over the last couple of days yet these long days where the sun sets around 9 PM affords plenty of beach time, some families are out enjoying the water and surf until late hours of the evening. New Road Construction in Sayulita

Construction is well underway to reconstruct a road linking two main
arteries in Sayulita. Formerly a deeply rutted, often impassable,
muddy-surfaced utility road, the street in question, calle Coral, is
now getting a much-deserved face lift, which will provide improved
access from Sayulita's main street, calle Revolución to calle Palmar,
which runs parallel to the beach.

Heavy Rainfall Affects Sayulita

The heavy rainfall on Wednesday evening and Thursday throughout the day
has affected many parts of Sayulita. At approximately 8 PM on Wednesday
after the first heavy rainfall a power cable snapped and sparks flew at
the corner of Revolucion and Gaviotas, across from Sayulita Café. A few
businesses were affected by the power outage along Gaviotas and
pedestrians walking by were warned by business owners not to step near
the fallen cable. CFE was called in to promptly take care of the
snapped cable.

Living the Very Lucky Life

I try to remember to be grateful. A lot. I thought it was
amazing enough when we were able to buy a small home in Sayulita, our
version of Paradise. Then, we have been fortunate to spend the recent

A Great Place to Camp in Mascota

Sunday my friends, parents and I went on a camping trip near Mascota,
Jalisco. It took 3 hours to get from Sayulita to Mascota. When we got
to the campsite we put up our tents and put everything where it needed
to be. We had tons of food and sweets. After that we started making
dinner, had vegetarian Sloppy Joe's and cake. Then we made a campfire
and gathered sticks to roast gigantic marshmallows. We sat around the
fire and made s'mores late into the night. It was very quiet and
beautiful.

Pet of the Week: "Ditch"

 Ditch was found resting in a drainage along
the highway between Bucerias and Sayulita. He is super sweet once he gets to know you, but due to his mange he was
probably struck often and in turn needs soft discipline. His mange is improving, and now he simply
wants to be around people he can trust and chill with. He is a black lab mix around one and a half
years of age. He needs regular exercise
for his youthful energy. He is leash
trained. He will need to continue his
weekly baths, be fed quality food, and have follow up visits with the vet. Ditch would make a great companion and trusty

Ditch se encontro descansando en un drenage por la carretera entre Bucerias y Sayulita. Es muy dulce cuando te empieza a conocer bien. Por su sarna es probable que fue golpeado seguido y por eso necesita disciplina ligera. Su sarna esta mejorando y ahora solo quiere estar donde hay gente en quien puede confiar. Es un labrador negro mixto y tiene aproximadamente 1 ano. Requiere ejercisio por que tiene mucha energia. Esta entrenado con correa. Tendra que continuar recibiendo banos cada semana, tener una alimentacion con comida de buena calidad, y acudir al veterinario seguido. Ditch seria un buen perro guardiano y seria buena comapania para una familia que lo quiere y lo cuida como lo corresponde. San Juan de Abajo, Nayarit. I am 53 years old. I came to Sayuilita in
1972 to live with an aunt and I fell in love with the town; I decided
to stay.
