ROTB survey...
SURVEY RESULTS!

Hi there ROTB-ers

If you recall, a few months back (July) I asked the membership for help with some research that I was doing on the organization. To my pure delight, many of you were interested and willing to contribute your thoughts.
THANK YOU FOR THAT.

Anyway, after many, many weekends and late nights in front of my trusty computer -- and with the help of so many gracious, thoughtful, and intelligent people -- the research and analysis are all said and done.

First off, I will say that just over 500 people contributed to the survey, which was a truly incredible response (Have I said THANK YOU yet?!).

I thought you might like to hear a few interesting tidbits that I found out in this process...
  • Of the 500 participants (approximately):

    • 65% were Canadian (35% American with a few others from elsewhere)

    • 50% found ROTB by hearing an interview with Rabbi Brian
    • 68% were women
    • 45% of those who responded were 50+ years of age
  • Two other findings I found interesting were:

    • 90% were happy with what ROTB provides

    • 40% stated they would like the opportunity to either be more involved with ROTB and/or have more interaction with other ROTB members
All in all, I feel the research was a huge success and will help ROTB and its members move successfully into the future (whatever that holds).

Once again, THANK YOU so much to all of you who took the time to participate.

And Happy Holidays!

May you and yours be safe, warm, loved, and filled with wonder through 2011.

Rabbi Brian's comments...

For starters, thank you to all who participated and to Crystal for her hard work.

You will be pleased to know that Crystal's efforts were rewarded by her university with the highest of honors and then some glowing accolades from her professors as well.

If you would like to download and read her entire report, SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ONLINE COMMUNITY, it's 104 pages of goodness available to download.

Moreover, I have been taken with her finding that many ROTB members want to reach out to connect in other ways. I'm working on putting together webinars (video based conversations) and/or teleseminars (telephone based conversations).

With love,

Rb
