Insurance Is Boring

We are now in MEDICARE'S ANNUAL ELECTION PERIOD/CHANGE PERIOD for Medicare Part "D" plans with January 1, 2012 effective dates. The annual election period began October 15th and ends December 7th.

Since Medicare changes the list of covered prescriptions each year and the various insurance plans also make changes, we will need the following information about your current medications to determine if your current plan remains your best option.

  • Name of medication
  • Dosage
  • Frequency you take it - ie. once a day, twice a day
  • Supply - 30 or 90 days - retail or mail order
  • Pharmacy Name & cross street

Example:  Lipitor - 20mg - 1 x day - 30 - Wal-Mart on Virginia Parkway

You may complete the attached form and return it to our office by fax or email, or you may provide us the information by phone. Please contact:

Also, let us know if you are happy with your current plan & carrier, because if it is still your best option for 2012, we will allow your plan to renew as is, mark your file as complete and send you confirmation.

Should we find a new prescription plan for 2012 that better suits your needs, we will be contacting you to review and discuss your options and assist with the possible plan change.

We appreciate your patience during this process.

Thank you,
