What is NXT?
NXT is the most advanced photochromic sun lens material ever made, with a broad transmission range, rapid activation and exceptional durability.  Originally created to serve as the bulletproof windshield material for U.S. military aircraft, NXT is a polyurethane material characterized by high impact resistance, lightweight, superior optical qualities, resistance to chemical contamination, and exceptional performance as a medium for photochromic (light sensitive) dyes.  NXT is so strong, lenses made from it are guaranteed for life against breakage.  And although they are not stamped for compliance, all 7eye lenses also pass ANSI Z87 testing for high impact.

Combining photochromic lens properties with a those of a glare-eliminating Polarized filter is rare indeed.  But to do it as efficiently and effectively as 7eye does is simply unheard of.  Most 7eye photochromic lenses offer a very wide transmission range (visible light transmission) of 18-80%.  With the added light-blocking polarized filter, this range changes to 10-25%.  It is a darker lens in both its natural and darkened states.
