Greetings!

Motorcycle Madness continues.  As explained last week, each email in March will feature a different brand of eyewear that's well suited for the motorcycle rider, and all of the brands in the next few weeks are worthy of a place in your saddlebag.  Not a rider?  No problem.  There are many sleek sunglasses for both him and her in the mix.  Check out each brand individually, or click here to visit our Motorcycle section.

This week's featured brand is the newly acquired 7eye (formerly Panoptx).  If you truly want quality in your ride-wear, read on.

With such a variety in their lens technologies, one might think sorting through 7eye styles would begin there.  Indeed, it could.  But let's group these as they do, by the frame.  Eyewear that includes some type of wind-blocking device is understandably popular among many riders.  It also helps to keep out debris while preventing the drying of eyes.  7eye offers two designs for this purpose.

SPF100 with Airlock
A perfect Seal Protection Factor of 100 is achieved with Airlock. Beneath its plush fabric exterior is a tough inner shell that prevents air penetration. The fast-drying fabric overcoat quickly absorbs and wicks away moisture. Filtered vents allow just the right amount of airflow.  Removable, washable and replaceable, Airlock is armor for your eyes.  SPF100 styles include:  Bali, Bora, Churada, Diablo, Whirlwind.

SPF75 with Air Dam
The textured surface of the thin, closed-cell foam pad rests comfortably on the skin, blocking about 75% of the wind.  These models are designed to allow some venting between the frame and face, yet they are still so close-fitting that many prefer the fit over the flagship SPF100 series. SPF75 styles include: Gale, Taku.

Active Lifestyle
The 7eye styles that weren't necessarily designed for riding fit into this category.  Whether your eyewear is for fishing, fashion, or just fun in the sun, this is where to look.  Active styles include:  Bone, Cam, Emma, Flip, Shaka, Tina.

SharpView Lenses
Whatever you need from sunglasses, 7eye's lenses can do the job, and do it well.  Their standard SharpView lens is de-centered and tapered for a clear, undistorted view, and the inside is armored with a tough anti-fog coating.  It only gets better...

Re-ACT Lenses
These use Amplified Color Technology to boost your eyes' recognition of primary colors. You're able to react sooner to visual stimuli, like brake lights, if you can see color with greater clarity. Most sunglasses drown out color, but Re-ACT restores the vibrancy and richness of color while still providing soothing protection.  These are available in Polarized and Non-polarized versions.

24:7 NXT Photochromic Lenses
NXT is the most advanced photochromic lens material available, allowing for a broad transmission range with rapid activation and exceptional durability.  These lenses darken quickly with UV exposure and keep changing as light conditions vary, where other photochromic films stop working.  The unexposed lens provides a nearly clear 80% light transmission, and can darken to 18% for both the Original Gray and Brown Contrast options.

Photo Polarized Lenses
Did we mentioned NXT is good?  It allows 7eye to effectively combine the ability to darken in sunlight with state-of-the-art polarization.  That's right, a Polarized Photochromic lens!  A pale brown (25%) in low light darkens to a rich brownish-copper (10%) in sunlight.  Available with either a hydrophobic (water-repelling) coating or an anti-fog coating.  The NXT lens is lighter weight than polycarbonate and CR39, and is guaranteed unbreakable for life!
