"The beauty of Japan's Galapagos effect - and how to go beyond"
Speaker: Gerhard Fasol
Even Japanese government officials now worry about the Galapagos effect, as inventions such as i-Mode, electronic money and Shinkansen remain largely confined to these islands. The only non-Japanese member of the "post-Galapagos Study Group," Fasol will show how some Galapagos characteristics can create opportunities if you work WITH them rather than against them.
Date: Monday, July 12th, 2010 Time: 12:00-14:00 Venue: Westin Hotel, Tokyo-Ebisu
This talk will be a shortened version of the May 19, 2010 talk at the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo. The Powerpoints of the talk are available as pdf-files as the June edition June edition of our monthly newsletter.
