Meet our Youth Team leaders!

Addison Mohn and
Josh Edison had this to say: "We have been with SEAWA for over a year now and we are glad to be able to organize and run the SEAWA Youth Team. We feel like it has boosted our communication skills and shown us the importance of the watershed we live in. We are passionate about teaching children and sharing with the public what SEAWA has to offer. We can't wait to see you at the next event!"

Water Words

Aquifer

An aquifer is an underground layer of water-bearing permeable rock or unconsolidated material such as gravel, sand or silt that stores and/or transmits water.

A CONFINED aquifer is bounded above and below by layers of less permeable material.

An UNCONFINED aquifer is similar but the saturated material is not bounded by an upper layer.
