Aristotle himself wrote of the Dead Sea and it is referred to as a place of battle where The King of Sodom the King of Gomorrah, the King of Admah, the King of Zeboim and the King of Bella that is Zoar marched out and drew up their battle lines in the valley of Siddim. Genesis 14.
The Bible says this battle happened by the Dead Sea, that is the Salt Sea, between the cities of the plain and that's where we travelled to.
What we all saw was enough for us to believe as we saw with our own eyes. It convinced us that these discoveries were true indeed. What we saw was enough to strengthen our foundations of belief and make our faith as solid as the rock we were standing on.
Well friends, to cut a long story short. 6 years later most of you have ordered or watched our film Our Search for Sodom and Gomorrah documenting what we believed and all the mysterious things we had seen.
The film has been sent far and wide to nearly every country on the planet, to all tribes and tongues and watched by people of a multitude of faiths and beliefs.
This film has become our most popular, still being ordered from all over the world every week.
This film whether in parts or whole has been added to 100's of peoples articles and web sites around the world.
We also struck a deal with a Christian film maker in the USA who became our agents for our first 3 films we produced which they then sold to film outlets, shops and a Christian TV channel called TBN.
We also blessed Revelation TV based in the UK with our film free of charge. They not only aired the film but my wife and I were interviewed on live T.V which was a great priviledge.
The response from the TV channels was very encouraging as many people who were not aware of these discoveries were, I am told, greatly encouraged by the film, its contents and discoveries
In return people from all around the world blessed and strengthened us with their emails and views.
However we still, sadly, come across those who scoff and seem blinded to the evidence in front of them. For unbelievers we can understand their reason for not believing, for they have been blinded by their God and believe in only the things of their God. Yes, sadly the God of this world.
The God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
2 Corinthians 4:4.
Some feedback that we received came from those who, whilst challenged, could not walk away from their lifestyles of homosexuality.
Of course there are always those who knock Christianity or don't want to be challenged simply because whilst they are aware they sin they are unwilling to face truth and turn from their sin and accept Jesus.
I am often interested to read their comments and pray that God will bring a conviction to their hearts.
Whilst I understand non-believers not understanding the truth it always puzzles me that believers would condemn biblical and historical evidence as unproven.
Was it because they judged a man's faith instead of his discovery, they judged Ron Wyatt for instance for his beliefs instead of looking at his heart and good works.
The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7. NIV
As new discoveries are being made they back up those famous historians such as Flavius Josephus who stated that 'the evidence is still there today to be seen'. The evidence of Sodom and Gomorrah is still there to be seen as we proved with the sulphur balls found on site.
Simon with a Sulfur ball.
He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes and made them an example. 2 Peter 2v6
Well friends, here is the good news.
God knows our intentions and looks at our hearts. God blesses our works and rewards our deeds. God looks at the good side of things, and uses it for his glory and good. Perhaps this is where certain believers have gone wrong and appear to misunderstand what they see.
You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. John 8:15.
A year ago I received this comment from an unknown person on this film saying:
God always chooses"nobodies" (aka men/women who don't have power, great wealth, great titles/status etc among society) of the world to reveal & share truth. Nice video.
I was struck by this comment because what he stated was true. He did not know anything about my life, yet he was correct in saying I am a "nobody"
I never went to school. I was told I was bare footed when I was a child because my parents couldn't afford to buy me shoes.
I was and still am a "nobody'' I am no teacher or doctor or preacher. I am nothing. I am just a simple person who is simply me.
But look at what God can do. God made the boy David in 1 Samuel 16, who was just a lowly shepherd boy but with God's help went on to become a giant slayer. From shepherd boy to giant slayer to King of Israel who would have thought it!!
Friends, let this story help and encourage you, no matter what people do to try and destroy you with put downs or discouragement of your gifts and talents or who you are as a person. If you serve our great God with all your heart then he is more interested in your availability rather than your ability.
No matter who you are, a scientist or archaeologist a teacher or a preacher or just like me a person with no degrees, letters after my name or title and position God can use you for his glory.
When you serve the true God the enemy will hate you, but don't get discouraged or lose heart because God will take your work from the bottom to the top.
There's nothing God cannot do, if you love him, be sure he will show his love for you.
I thank God and stand in amazement at how he has used my work to bless others and to raise it to a level of influence for his kingdom. I feel truly humbled at what he can do with a little and like the loaves and fishes multiply it to feed the thousands.
Thank you Lord for all you have done and may this story encourage others to step out in faith for you.
"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27
14 "You are the light of the world.A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house."16 In the same way, let your light shine before others "that they may see your good deedsand glorifyyour Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14.
Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Matthew 5:8
