Faculty Load - Due September 18

Faculty load entry for summer (201230) and Fall term (201240) needs to be completed in Banner no later than September 18th (the 10th or census day).  Please  click here to review documentation on faculty load procedures and the faculty load report.

Part of Term and Time Ticketing -
Due October 12

Time Ticket and Part of Term requests for 201310 & 201320 are due no later than Friday, October 12th. Please click here for more information.

New Adjunct Faculty Contract System and Instructional Workload
Human Resources has a new adjunct faculty contract system which relies on Banner Schedule (SSASECT) instructional workload data.  If workload is not populating when creating a section or listed on an existing section, please contact Lori Seavers at seav2783@stthomas.edu.

Greetings!

As we prepare for the Fall 2012 semester, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness would like to help keep you informed of all that is happening this year.  In this newsletter you will find a calendar of upcoming dates and deadlines, information on the new undergraduate class schedule, faculty load information, part-of-term information, online catalog updates and much more.

We hope these newsletters continue to inform you and assist you as the fall semester begins. As always, we encourage your feedback (insteffect@stthomas.edu).

Undergraduate Meeting Time Schedule Change beginning Fall 2012
St. Paul Campus 
A change in the standard meeting time schedule for undergraduate classes is in effect for Fall 2012.  The MW 2:55 p.m. - 4:55 p.m. meeting time has been replaced with the following two meeting times:

MW 1:35 p.m. - 3:10 p.m. and
MW 3:25 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

 

2012-2014 Undergraduate Catalog
Online Catalog Updates 
We are now providing the UST community with a spreadsheet of updates that have been made to the 2012-2014 catalog. Click here to access this spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will identify the catalog section and page, and will give a brief description of what the change entails. The online catalog is updated sporadically, these updates will be sent out with every newsletter.

Banner Section Clean-up Lab
September 27, 11:30 - 1:30 -- NEW DATE 

If you maintain sections in Banner that roll to future terms, then consider yourself invited to a section clean-up luncheon.  We have scheduled lab time in O'Shaughnessy Frey Library room 208 on September 27th from 11:30am-1:30pm. 

 

The section roll will occur on Wednesday, October 31st. Prior to the 31st, all section information for the terms 201240, 201310, 201320, 201330 must be checked for accuracy, which includes:

  • Co-reqs
  • Attributes
  • Restrictions (class, college, major, level, campus)
  • Prerequisites and test scores
  • CAPP area prerequisites

This computer lab and lunch time are an opportunity to review all of your sections through 201330 for accuracy prior to the roll to ensure proper coding for future sections.
