"Rolling Kansas Plains" is the featured song on the Wranglers website this month. Click above to hear the whole song, which some feel should be declared the State Ballad of Kansas! It's a beautiful original from our own Jim Farrell and Stu Stuart. |

Greetings!
The summer has flown! We have just a few more shows left at Cowtown for the season, and we hope you will join us. Every week at the Diamond W brings happy families and tourists from around the country and the world. We just came across a great blog written by a 22-year-old who came to see us for her grandmother's 88th birthday. She had a ball, and encourages us all to "Step Outside the Box" musically. We couldn't agree more. Check it out below. Bring your family and your visiting friends, and enjoy the "Special Delivery" of the Diamond W Wranglers! |

"COWBOY MOUNTAIN HIGH.... Colorado!"
Hats off to our superfans, John and Virginia Ast of Ouray, CO, for organizing another amazing concert tour in Western Colorado for September.
John and Virginia were bitten by the Wranglers bug (a highly contagious condition) during their years living in Wichita. When they moved to a dream home in Colorado, they didn't want to leave the boys behind.
This will be the fourth trip the guys have made to serenade the folks in Ouray and Montrose in southwest Colorado. If you're out that way, please come and see them!

"Special Delivery" . . . for a family reunion
Every night at the Diamond W Chuckwagon you can find a table of people celebrating something special. In July. a family of 6 was celebrating Sara Regier's 88th birthday. Her granddaughter, 22-year-old Emily Deaver was with them, and received a pleasant surprise. Normally she's an indie rock music fan. But that night she discovered how much she appreciated the special brand of Western Music performed by the Diamond W Wranglers. Emily really enjoyed lead singer Stu Stuart:
"..his solos are burning. Sitting in the audience, I could almost imagine his voice echoing through the Rockies in the early twentieth century."
Emily, by the way, is a bubbly on-air personality with the Weekend Crew at Wichita's TV station KSCW, and she blogged about the experience on the station's website. Her message to everyone: "Get Out of Your Box" and enjoy ALL types of music.
You can read her entire blog here.
We couldn't agree more. In February the Wranglers merged their audience of Western Music fans with those who love Classical Music when they debuted their original music with the Hutchinson Symphony. More partnerships like that will be coming up in the next few months. Stay tuned!
And stay tuned to Emily Deaver too -- on KSCW, Channel 33 and Cable Channel 5 in the Southcentral Kansas area.
Thanks for sharing this monthly edition of "Special Delivery" and we hope to see you soon!
Happy Trails,
The Diamond W Family
