Spa Tip
In June the FDA's new rules regarding sunscreen labelling will come into effect. Here are some changes you can expect to see.
In the past, SPF indicated only UVB protection, but now UVA protection will finally be measured too. So the term 'broad spectrum coverage' will cover both UVA & UVB.
Instead of words like 'waterproof', 'sweatproof' and 'sunblock' which will be banned, you'll see how long it'll be 'water-resistant' for: either 40 or 80 minutes. Manufacturers will now also need to inform consumers on how often the product will need to be reapplied to remain effective.
