Our 2005 Businessperson of the Year embodies all the qualities we seek in an outstanding businessperson. His personal involvement in the Chamber Area is amazing. He is past Chairman, of the Chamber; past Chairman, Special Business District; current Chairman, SSM ST. Joseph Hospital Foundation Board; current President, Franciscan Sisters Our Lady of Perpetual Help Board; Financial Committee member, Ursuline Academy; board member of Kirkwood School District Foundation; former member, St. Louis Society for the Blind; Advisory Board member, R-7 Parents As Teachers; former Board member, Kirkwood Rotary Club; and former member, Kirkwood Comprehensive Plan Committee.
He is corporate president of Pioneer Bank and not only represents one of the most successful banking businesses in the area, but has also devoted hundreds of personal hours to serve the community.
