Time is just flying by. Before you know it, Spring will be real, not just a date on the calendar, but the real thing with warmer temperatures and better, more fun attitudes. Let's go fishing...for business, that is.
Last month's Chamber luncheon was really neat. Yes, I like it when we have a great speaker, but my favorites are the luncheons with wall-to-wall networking. I just love talking with and listening to people. You know how I love to talk. I'm really fond of forming relationships with folks about anything, especially over business. Their business and ours. Hardy Washington, Jr. State Farm Insurance Agent
1990 was a momentous year in Hardy Washington's life. Everything in his professional life came together for him 21 years ago, when he became a State Farm Agent.
It's been a personal and professional journey which began after Hardy earned degrees from Benedictine College, in Atchison, KS with a BA in Psychology/Sociology; a Masters from Webster University in Marketing/Management and Washington University in St Louis with a Masters in Business Administration. He credits his parents for instilling his and his sister's love of learning and recognition of the importance of a solid, well rounded education to their lives. "My parents are two of the wisest people I have ever known. My father told my sister and me if we really trained and developed our minds, no one could ever take it away from us. He was right and we're passing that wisdom on to our own children," he says.
