Competition Schedule
Registration and Submission deadline is October 11, 2011. Finalists will be announced February 12, 2012. $10,000 in cash prizes will we awarded. Finalists will receive media recognition and will be included in books, publications and exhibitions around the world.

Algae Competition asked: "What will be the next algae foods and recipes and the future uses of algae as food and feed ingredients that will transform our health and our diet?"
Participants have been submitting recipes, menus, new foods and food products incorporating algae as a featured ingredient. They are using microalgae like spirulina, chlorella and blue green algae and macroalgae like nori, wakame, dulse, kombu, kelp, and other edible seaweeds and algae ingredients like agar and carrageenan.
Here are some of the recipes for main course, dessert, ice cream, cookies, chips, snacks, appetizers, pasta, noodles, soup, stew, dips, drinks, shakes, cereal and more. You can view the entries posted so far at AlgaeCompetition.com.
These is still time to register and submit recipes and new algae food products, landscape designs or production systems. Registration and submission deadline is coming soon - October 11, 2011.
The Competition is open to everyone, anywhere in the world: algae enthusiasts, architects, builders, entrepreneurs, designers, growers, scientists, food developers, cooks, students and teams. Most people have no idea how many everyday products contain algae. Algae is an ingredient in thousands of products for food, feed, color, nutraceutical, medicinal, personal care, biofertilizer, fine chemical, biofuel. Even more innovative algae products are coming. |
