MCC students participated in Rebuilding Together on April 28, 2012 at Nike Recreational Center in Manchester. Volunteers painted the entire center in one and a half  hours. Group leaders: (laying down in front) AmeriCorp Vista Volunteer Jackie Bishop and Professor Lucy Anne Hurston.

 

Nathan Hale Student Art Start Exhibit at MCC

 

Over the last month, Nathan Hale students have participated in four art workshops at the college to create ceramic Thank You Vessels and Retablos, small devotional paintings. The culmination of the Art Start project was a one-week exhibit showcasing the Nathan Hale students' creations.

Well, it's an election year, the United States is a democracy, and our opinions matter! In light of the economic times, let's find out what people think about capitalism!

Adult Success Coach

The Adult Success Coach website provides one-to-one coaching and an extensive library of resources to help adult students succeed in college, balance life/school/work, and set goals for the future. Students who complete two appointments with a success coach will automatically be entered to win a giftcard to the bookstore! The 2012 commencement speaker will be Lewis J. Robinson, Jr., Esquire of Hartford, Chair of the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education. Lewis J. Robinson, Jr., Esq. is a seasoned attorney with a comprehensive background in business, law and government affairs, as well as charitable organizations. Since his retirement as General Counsel of Travelers Property Casualty (Personal Lines), he has served in a volunteer capacity with a variety of non-profit organizations. Most recently, Mr. Robinson was Chairman of the Board of The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and a board member of the Capital Community College Foundation.
