Faculty Artwork Featured at Hans Weiss Newspace Gallery
An exhibit of art created by the Graphic Design & Multimedia Faculty is now on display in the Hans Weiss Newspace Gallery and will run through April 25.
The exhibit shows works by Richard Thomas (who is also director of exhibits at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford), Ed Hogan, Maura O'Connor, Mike Toti, Laurie Grace, David Tow, Susan Brereton and Haruna Sumani. |

The "Freak Art Show" was an exhibit that consisted of whatever any art student wanted to display. Above are a few images of the artwork from the show. It ran the week of March 26-30 and was coordinated by Patricia Carrigan. |
Manchester Community College Recognized for Community Service MCC has been honored as a leader among institutions of higher education for its support of volunteering, service learning and civic engagement. The college has been admitted to the 2011 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for engaging its students, faculty and staff in meaningful service that achieves measurable results in the community. There were 14 institutions of higher education in Connecticut recognized and MCC was one of two Connecticut community colleges to meet the requirements for the honor roll.

ConnSCU Commons
The community colleges have been added to the ConnSCU Commons site. The ConnSCU Commons allows all BOR faculty and staff to collaborate online. Faculty and staff can create discussion groups in the Commons. The groups can be moderated or be open to the public. For faculty and staff to use this collaboration tool follow these instructions: Please log into to the Commons site with your NETID (Banner ID number only) and password to create your account. Make sure to select the correct authentication source (Manchester). After logging in, fill in profile and personal information (under a different tab). You are automatically placed in your institution's group based on your authentication source. Questions? Contact the Help Desk, x3456.

The Adult Success Coaching website provides one-to-one coaching and an extensive library of resources to help adult students succeed in college, balance life/school/work, and set goals for the future. Poet Stephen Campiglio To Read At MCC During National Library Week

Continuing Education's Stephen Campiglio has assembled a collection of his poems in chapbook form, entitled Cross-Fluence. "The collection is sort of a living body of work that has continued to change and evolve as I've encountered various forms over the years," Campiglio said. Stephen will be on-hand to read selected poems and sign copies of the book.

Dodgeball Tournament

Join the fun and raise money for the Habitat for Humanity trip to New Orleans. Staff and faculty are welcome. Entry fee is $10 per person, eight players per team. Pick up rosters in the Office of Student Activities. Completed rosters and fees should be turned into the Office of Student Activities by April 10.

23rd Annual MCC Regional Job Fair
April 14, 2012, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, GPA Gymnasium
Approximately 50 companies are expected to attend the event and will be seeking candidates for professional, technical, sales, management and entry-level opportunities. It is anticipated that over 2,000 people will attend. Job seekers will be able to have their resumes critiqued by nationally-certified resume writers for free. The event flyer offers information and highlights participating companies. This poster can be downloaded, printed, distributed directly to students or posted in your department/office to assist in promoting the event to the college community. Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre

Introduction to Project Management (Presented by Catherine Seaver)

This workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of project management and provide examples of how project management is used to turn a seemingly complex job into a manageable project that can be completed on time and within a budget.
