WICKHAM FARMS
1821 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Penfield 377-FARM (3276)
You may have passed Wickham Farms in your travels on Route 250 -- it's the farm next to the YMCA, where kids always seem to be jumping on a big pillow. But there's much more to Wickham Farms than the jumping pillow.
- In addition to the jumping pillow, we have batting cages, mini golf and farm animals to see and feed.
- Inside our red barn, we serve 32 flavors of ice cream, soft-serve custard, smoothies and coffee drinks. We also serve casual meals including homemade chicken salad, grilled sandwiches and fresh-cut fries. And we always have fresh cookies made from scratch.
- In the spring, we offer a large stock of annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetable plants as well as plant containers and hanging plants. In the fall, we carry a huge variety of mums.
- We offer special packages for groups, including birthday parties, Scout troops, school field trips and fundraisers.
- In the fall, it's time for pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins and everything else associated with fall décor. We also have a corn maze and kiddy train ride.
- New for 2012 is a community-supported agriculture program (CSA), which provides a weekly or biweekly share of our Penfield-grown harvest to its members.
Wickham Farms opens for the season on April 1. For more information, visit www.wickhamfarms.com or call 585-377-3276.

Wickham Farms Announces Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program
Wickham Farms is now accepting members for its community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, which will begin in the spring of 2012. The CSA provides an opportunity for people to eat with the seasons and support local farming.
For 20 weeks from late June through October, CSA members will receive fresh produce grown in Penfield by Wickham Farms (and, rarely, by other local farmers). Every share will include generous portions of the farm's harvest, including fresh greens in the spring; summer favorites like tomatoes, melons and sweet corn; cooking staples like onions, carrots and potatoes; and fall favorites such as cabbage and winter squash. The Wickham Farms CSA will offer opportunities for its members to participate in the farming experience, with volunteer opportunities and U-pick bonuses for people to pick extra quantities. Working on the farm is not a requirement of membership. Wickham Farms is holding informational meetings at local businesses and organizations who have clientele, members or staff who have an interest in healthy living. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, or for more information, please contact Bill Wickham at (585) 747-7512 or email him at Bill@Wickhamfarms.com. If you are interested in attending an informational meeting, here are dates of some upcoming meetings, which are free and open to the public: * Wednesday, March 7, 7 p.m.: Eastside Family YMCA * Saturday, March 10, 11 a.m.: Lifetime Fitness * Sunday, March 18, 2:30 p.m.: Penfield United Methodist Church * Thursday, March 28, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.: Wickham Farms |

Message from the PBA Board of Directors |
PBA Event Reservation Payment Notice
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your incredible support in attending our events! We appreciate your enthusiasm and participation in our workshops, networking and community events. In the past, the PBA has absorbed any expense for members who registered for events but were unable to attend for various reasons. Unfortunately the cost for holding events has increased and it has become necessary for us to change this practice. Going forward, the PBA will need to charge you for any reservation you are unable to fulfill unless we receive a cancellation notice 48 hours prior to the event. We are sensitive to the fact that last minute schedule challenge occur and we encourage you to send a substitute in your place if you find yourself unable to attend. For all PBA meetings requiring reservations and a meeting fee, we have always extended a "pay at the door" option to our members and guests and will continue to do so.Recently, we added the option to pay by credit/debit card via PayPal on the PBA website. This option will continue to be available as well. Again, thank you for your tremendous support! We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
