The Eastside YMCA is one of 11 branches of the YMCA of Greater Rochester. The facility opened in October of 2006 to serve the residents and businesses of this area. The facility has a family fun center, wellness center, exercise pool, family pool, mini splash area, sauna and whirlpool, tween center, running track, gym, indoor climbing wall, aerobics studio and mind/body studio, cycle studio and locker rooms. Shel Beaston founded Carpet Hydro Steam to provide the best possible cleaning in the industry performed by trustworthy individuals with specialized training. 

 

Shel worked at Penfield Village Grill in high school, married at St. Josephs and purchased his first home off of Five Mile Line Road. His sons attend Penfield High School and participate in a scout troop in Penfield.

In 1995, personal trainer, Tom Fortunato, founded Fitness Motivation, a small business that has a big impact on the health and fitness of people who use his services.

 

Tom provides individuals and groups with the tools and training to lose weight and to increase strength and flexibility. That is almost always followed by an improvement in self image and a better outlook on life.  


Tom works with a wide range of individuals from teens wanting to add muscle and improve sports performance, up to 80 year olds seeking to maintain independent living. Tom has much experience rebuilding fitness after orthopedic and other surgeries, diseases, and accidents. 

 Fitness Motivation

Training is provided by appointment. Training takes place at Lifetime Fitness Gym, 2200 Penfield Road,
or, in your home, at your office, and at other area
gyms by arrangement.

 

A fitness consultation with Tom is educational and is free. Gift certificates are available. PBA members receive a free one-on-one training session with Tom. You must be a new client and medically able to exercise. Maximum of 10 PBA members per month - first come, first served. Training takes place at Lifetime Fitness.

Your Local Phone Book for Penfield and Webster Arriving Soon!


The new directory will have coupons, menus, Your Phone Bookand a contest to win money and other prizes.

The front cover artwork was created by Anne Sakmyster, a Penfield native. The illustration depicts a barn located on Scribner Road near Atlantic Avenue. PBA members Fairport Savings Bank and Jack Best will be featured in the community section. Congratulations to both of these winners!

The interactive version of the directory will be online in May of 2011. This user friendly directory will have all of the features of your Local Phone Book plus additional internet advertising options. Technotic Media has been commissioned to create the online version.

Your Local Phone Book is expanding! A Fairport directory will be published in May of 2011 and a Pittsford directory in August of 2011. Staff has grown to included two new employees. Welcome to Chris Jehlen and Matt Isaac!
