PBA/RBA Alliance Opportunity
|
Message to PBA Members from Sandy Parker, Rochester Business Alliance President I'm writing to share what I believe is a tremendous opportunity to shape the new administration in Albany, as well as ensure that Upstate New York has strong representation within state government leadership. As a member of the Cuomo-Duffy transition subcommittee on Economic Development and Labor, I have been asked to help recruit talented candidates for appointment to senior leadership positions within state agencies. So I'm reaching out to you - the business leaders of our community - for candidate suggestions. The positions to be filled include commissioners, deputy commissioners or directors and counsel. And they are in very influential agencies, including: · Banking · Insurance · Tax and Finance · Agriculture and Markets · Economic Development · Racing and Wagering Board · Civil Service · General Service · Labor · Office of Regulatory Reform · Workers' Compensation Board · State Insurance Fund · Department of State · Governor's Office of Employee Relations · Council on the Arts · Division of Lottery · State Liquor Authority · Office of Technology · PERB · SERB Also under consideration are appointments to the Empire State Development Corp., Dormitory Authority, NYSTAR, Battery Park City Authority, Olympic Regional Development Authority and Javits Convention Center Authority. If you would like to be nominated, or have candidates you would like to suggest, please send them to me as soon as possible so that I may obtain the person's resume for submission. My email is Sandyp@RBAlliance.com I believe the work of this subcommittee is crucial, as it gives us an opportunity to shape a Cuomo Administration that can really make the changes needed to revitalize New York's economy. Upstate must be a part of that resurgence, and having strong leaders from Upstate - in addition to Lt. Gov.-elect Duffy - is essential. As always, thank you for your support. I look forward to receiving your suggested nominations.
