A Counselor's Perspective
"Last week, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to take kids to the Mariners baseball game. Initially, two of my clients were reluctant to go...once there, they all were ecstatic. On the way home, repeatedly, they kept thanking me for taking them. They wanted to make sure I told whoever was responsible for providing the tickets - that they had a great time, and they would love to return.
Their smiles and conversations reminded me of the reasons I love this work..."
~ Epi Wilson, Consejo Chemical Dependency Counselor, Tacoma
A special thanks goes to the Seattle Mariners for donating tickets to Consejo which in return helps us provide activities that support our clients' recovery. |
