VITAMINS A, C, D,  E, K

Vitamins
The immune system is one of our most important systems in the human body. It fights of disease and infection and helps keep our body balanced.
In this article I will give each vitamin's benefits.
First there are two vitamin forms, fat soluble and water soluble. Fat soluble vitamins are stored in the fat cells and are not easily released. The water soluble are in the more easily released though our sweat and urine. A multi -vitamin is always a good start, but you may need extra miligrams (Mg) of a vitamin based on a deficiency or a just to add a boost. Remember to always follow the RDA (Recommended Dose Allowed) and check with a medical doctor or holistic doctor.

Vitamin A~ Found in beef liver, egg yolk, cheddar cheese and fortified milk. this vitamin helps your eyes adjust to light and keeps our eyes, skin and mucous membrane moist. The body converts Beta-Carradine to Vitamin A when needed.

Vitamin B vitamins are many, and for that reason I am skipping this vitamin for now. The B vitamins promote healthy skin, hair and muscle tone. It also enhances metabolic rate, immune and nervous systems. They also promote red blood cell growth.

Vitamin C ~ Is commonly taken to prevent illness. Yes it does boost the body's immune system and it helps to fight cardiovascular disease, cancers and strokes. Vitamin C is found in many fruits and vegetables.
There is a warning of overdosing on Vitamin C though not deadly, it causes stomach aches, diarrhea, and can hinder metabolic function.

Vitamin D ~ This vitamin helps also with your overall immune system. It is thought to fight some auto immune diseases such as Diabetes,Rheumatoid Arthritis, and MS. It helps the body absorb calcium and phosphorus. If you are Vitamin D deficient you can develop Rickets. Which is the softening of bones and can cause skeletal deformities.

Vitamin E ~ This vitamin contains many benefits. It helps with brain function, prostate and breast health, respiratory and cardiovascular function, heart health. It can help with PMS and hot flashes in menopausal women. When taking a Vitamin E supplement use the liquid based capsule form for better absorption. Make sure it is natural Vitamin E instead of the synthetic also.

Vitamin K ~ Vitamin K is essential to the human body it helps support and regulate many functions. Preventing calcification of coronary arteries and important for preventing osteoporosis by regulating calcium. Sufficient levels are important for preventing Alzheimer's disease and necessary for proper blood sugar regulation.Keeps calcium in bones and prevents calcium from being deposited in other tissues. Those are some of the many benefits.
Vitamin K is found in lettuce, swiss chard, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, brussels sprout, tomatoes, avocado and kiwi fruit.

So we have gone over some benefits of taking certain vitamins and how the body functions with them. Mother nature has provided us with almost everything we need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But please if you are any medication with a doctor check with him first before starting a vitamin routine. Happy Health!
