REIKI

Since ancient times human beings have sought comfort in healing touch. We seek out those who can help provide safe and effective means of helping us heal. Reiki is a form of healing touch.
The origins of modern day Reiki can be traced back to Dr. Usui who was born in 1865 in Japan. Dr Usui spent time in many professions, but he is remembered as a great healer. Throughout his life, he spent years on perfecting the craft he called Reiki. He passed it down to Dr.Hayashi (1880-1940) who met Dr. Usui in 1926. He passed the tradition down to Mrs Takata (1900-1980) who brought it to the west. She trained and initiated 22 Reiki Masters from 1970 to 1980.
Reiki is based on energy centers known as Chakras. These chakras' keep your energy flowing. Each chakra pertains to one's psychological properties. Here is a short explanation for each chakra.
* Taken from eclectic energies .com Root Chakra - Grounds and makes you feel stable. Sacral Chakra - Intimacy and passion Solar Plexus Chakra - Being assertive and sufficient self esteem Heart Chakra - Love of self, friendships and relationships Throat Chakra - Self expression Third Eye Chakra - Intuition Crown Chakra - Higher self, wisdom
Reiki is used to clear unwanted or stale energy within the chakra. The practitioner/master will use a simple laying of hands on the person. The person lies on the table without taking any clothes off except shoes. The practitioner/master sends calming healing energy into the energy centers, revitalizing the chakras, You may feel a sense of calm and tranquility, some may experience an emotional release during a session. The session heals the body, mind and spirit from within. The effects of the Reiki session may last a day or so. An emotional release may come a day or two after the session. Just be aware that this is normal and just to "let it out." You will have a sense of well being along with a calm positive outlook. As an introduction, I am offering $5.00 off a 30minute Reiki session in the month of March.
