Beat the Winter Blahs at the YMCA
Indoor Soccer Starts Today.
If cabin fever has set in at your house, consider bringing the whole family to the YMCA for some active evening fun. Today is the first day of Indoor Soccer League, and space is still available. Indoor soccer is for children ages 3 - 12. Practices and games are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Registration fee is only $10 for members and $75 for non-members. "Wild About Kids" Annual Partners with Youth Campaign set to kick off on February 21.
Did you know that the YMCA is one of the nation's top 10 charities? Forbes magazine recently listed the Y as the 10th largest recipient of private support, nationwide, and the second oldest large charity in the country as well.
Each year, the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg gives away hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships, free programs, and subsidized memberships and programs to people who otherwise couldn't afford to send their children to afterschool, summer day camp, swimming lessons and youth sports leagues. In fact, last year we were able to provide almost $684,000 to our community through our annual Partners with Youth campaign.

Piano lessons are offered each Thursday at the Pine Street YMCA in 30 minute segments beginning at 5pm. Only $15 per class for members; $25 per class for non-members. Crocheting class for children and adults will start this Saturday, February 18 at the Pine Street YMCA at 11:30. The class will also meet on Saturday, March 3, 17, & 31. Only $10 per member for all four classes! New: Loom Beading- Parents and children can learn the ancient art of loom beading together beginning this Saturday, February 18, at 10am. Class will meet again on Saturday, March 17, April 14, and May 12. Only $10 per member for all four classes! |
