Greetings! 

                            I am not a TV watcher, however,recently I was watching a movie with my wife when a commercial for Lyrica came on. As we were watching this beautiful one minute attempt to sell this medication I was shocked to hear that one of the side affects was suicide! They have the courage to promote this drug to patients with Fibromyalgia. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Fibromyalgia, it causes diffuse muscle pain and tightness.The company promoting this drug went on to tell viewers that Lyrica will shut off the nerves going to these muscles, in turn reducing spasms and pain. I am amazed that patients will take this drug simply because their doctors tell them to! How about the thousands of patients who find relief from Fibromyalgia with safe,natural and effective  chiropractic care? Why do our primary care doctors predominately turn to medications before anything else? We live in a society where pharmaceutical companies seem to have their own set of rules. It is big business where the primary concern is not the patient.

   I remember when I was younger, my cousin decided to go off to medical school and I obviously chose chiropractic school. We both required the "Gray's Anatomy" text book for one of our classes. My cousin received his brand new edition from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and I purchased mine.These companies catch doctors right at the beginning. The brain washing commences from the start. In our country a war on drugs exist, I am not sure which drugs are more dangerous! There is an imbalance that exists and always will, unless we educate our family and friends one at a time. We rely on you to help us spread the word on the true benefits of chiropractic care!
