What?
CHRVA has partnered with Fairfax Volleyball Club and No Panic Volleyball in Virginia and Mid-Atlantic Volleyball and Baltimore Beach Volleyball in Maryland to offer USAV-sanctioned juniors outdoor clinics and doubles tournaments.
Who?
Juniors must be CHRVA members in order to play in the USAV-sanctioned juniors tournaments. Adult tournaments will be offered on 7/7, 7/21, 7/28 and 8/4 and parents are encouraged to play. Check the websites for more details.
Why?
This program is important because:
- It creates a system at the regional level for junior athletes to prepare for playing NCAA volleyball at colleges and earning scholarships;
- It creates a feeder system into the national level competition for outdoor junior competition which USAV already has in place in regions around the country;
- Outdoor competition improves an indoor player's overall skills.
